Uttar Pradesh : Contrary to the claim of Rakesh Tikait, the UP gate is getting vacant

Tents have started getting empty at the UP gate after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws. The number of protesters is continuously decreasing. Now empty tents are visible far away. The number of protesters on the stage has also remained few, while the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union is adamant to continue the strike on the MSP (Minimum Support Price) guarantee till the law is enacted.

Only 15-20 people were seen in the listener

The protesters have put up tents for two kilometers at the UP Gate. A platform has been built on the lane going to Delhi on NH 9. A protestor was addressing the stage on Sunday afternoon. During that time four or five protesters were sitting on the stage. There were about 15-20 people listening in front of the stage. In the afternoon, most of the protesters used to come out of the stage, but now only a few people can be seen at the protest site from far and wide. In such a situation, Rakesh wants to continue the dharna of Tikait tents. It is believed that some protesters believed in the announcement of withdrawal of agricultural laws and started returning home. Due to less number of protesters, food in langar is also being prepared less than before.

Rakesh Tikait left for Lucknow

Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, did not attend the United Kisan Morcha meeting on Sunday. He left for Lucknow to attend the panchayat to be held on Monday. Before leaving, Rakesh Tikait said that the panchayat to be held in Lucknow is dedicated to making a guarantee law on MSP. Agricultural laws could have been rolled back six months ago. The government will have to come to the table and negotiate on the MSP guarantee law, seed bill, pollution and cases filed against farmers. Only after this the farmers will go back home.

People will protest against the road closure

The people of Kaushambi have decided to stage a sit-in on Monday demanding the removal of the protesters sitting on the way to Delhi at the UP Gate. On Saturday too, people staged a sit-in for two hours against the protesters. People say that 70,000 vehicles travel daily to and from the internal roads of Kaushambi with a population of 18 thousand. This is causing pollution and causing traffic jams. Now the Prime Minister has announced to withdraw the law, so he should leave immediately.
