Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Atrangi Re’ will be released directly on this OTT platform
Big news is coming for the fans of Akshay Kumar. His film Atrangi Re is being released directly on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar instead of theatres. Atrangi Re is one of the most awaited films of Akshay. Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan are sharing screen space with Akshay. The film is directed by Aanand L Rai.
Let us tell you, Akshay Kumar had already given indications of Atrangi Re’s release on the OTT platform. Some time back, in an interview to Times of India, Akshay had told that he has not included this film in his theatrical release list. At that time he had said that there is a churning going on for its digital or theatrical release.
Akshay and Sara are working with Aanand L Rai for the first time in this film. At the same time, Dhanush made his Bollywood debut with Anand’s film Raanjhanaa, in which Sonam Kapoor was in the female lead role. On Tuesday, Disney Plus Hotstar shared the motion poster of Atrangi Re and informed that the trailer will be released on Wednesday and with that the release date of the film will also be confirmed.
Akshay plays a magician in the film, as can be inferred from the introduction written on the motion poster. Sara’s character’s name is Rinku. It has been written about her character that she is fierce and combative, who fights with all her strength for her love.
The name of the character of Dhanush is Vishu. It has been written about his character that this guy will steal your heart in this love story. Music Maestro AR Rahman has composed the music of Atrangi Re.
This is Akshay Kumar’s second film to be released directly on the OTT platform. Earlier, Lakshmi had appeared on Disney Plus Hotstar only. This year Bellbottom was released on Prime. However, Bellbottom was also released in theaters almost a month before it arrived on Prime.
