Stefanos Tsitsipas to start preparations for Australia Open in Dubai from next month after surgery
After a group-stage loss in the Nitto ATP Finals due to a right elbow injury, Stefanos Tsitsipas has started rehab after undergoing surgery on Thursday. The Greek player gave fans an update on his recovery via Instagram.
In his post from the Swiss hospital, Stefanos wrote, “Things often get difficult before they get easy, but with every struggle we get a chance to write our own story. Thanks for all the fans’ support. I am now focused on a healthier and happier future.”
He wrote, “Focused on a healthier and happier future. Next stop, the pre-season in Dubai two weeks from now and then preparations for Australia.
Stefanos retired earlier this month ahead of his match against Australia’s Alexei Popirin at the Rolex Paris Masters.
Let us tell you that Stefanos has made 55-19 match records this year. The 23-year-old reached No. 3 in the ATP rankings on August 9, followed by the final of the Barcelona Open.
