29th anniversary of Babri demolition: Today is the 29th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid. Vigilance is being taken all over the country regarding this and to deal with any untoward incident, tight security arrangements have been made at many sensitive places. In such a situation, strict security arrangements have been made in Mathura as well. Some Hindu organizations had announced that they would offer prayers at the Shahi Idgah of Mathura. Due to this announcement, the entire Mathura has been converted into a cantonment. Also, Section 144 has been imposed and shops have been closed.
In view of the announcement of Hindu organizations, the security system in Mathura has been tightened. One RAF and 6 companies of PAC have been deployed to ensure security. Along with this, force has been called from the surrounding areas. Social media is also being monitored by the administration.
The administration has divided Mathura into 4 superzones, 4 zones and 8 sectors and changes have also been made in the traffic system. Under this, no vehicle is allowed towards Janmabhoomi-Deg Gate. Also, a special traffic advisory has been issued till December 7. According to the administration, no disturbance of any kind will be tolerated.
Ahead of next year’s assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, precautionary steps have been taken to maintain peace and order in the state, so that no untoward incident is faced and law and order is maintained.
Recently, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya made a tweet. In which he wrote, ‘Ayodhya, Kashi is on… Mathura’s turn.’ After this tweet, speculations are being made to give edge to the issue of Hindutva during the BJP’s assembly elections. In such a situation, like Ayodhya, strict security arrangements have been made in Mathura too.
