Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad : Trader was shot dead, there was a dispute going on to vacate the shop

A sports trader was shot dead in Moradabad’s posh area Ramganga Vihar on Wednesday night. The killer entered the shop and shot businessman Kushank Gupta (30 years) in the head. At the time of the incident, Kushank was busy preparing to go home after closing his shop. The businessman was rushed to the nearby Vivekananda Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The incident which took place in the posh area near the stadium caused a stir. All the top officials including SSP reached the spot. The field unit and dog squad were also called to the spot. Till late night, the SSP himself was engaged in investigation at the spot.

The posh area was shaken by the incident that happened suddenly
There is panic among people due to such a public murder in the posh area of Civil Lines. Nearby shopkeepers were also shaken by this murder that happened in public. His father Ashok Gupta, wife Jyoti Gupta and mother Niti reached the hospital as soon as Kushank received information about the bullet. But doctors declared Kushank brought dead. There was a cry in the family. Kushank was married to Jyoti, a resident of Mumbai, about a year and a half ago. People around say that Kushank was a cheerful person of very simple nature.

Made Tiktok video of your death
Moradabad’s young sports businessman Kushank Gupta himself made a Tiktok video of his death a few months before his murder. He also shared it on his Facebook account. In this video Kushank is seen bleeding from his mouth and he falls down.

Investigation of all aspects
SSP Bablu Kumar said that three police teams have been deployed to uncover the incident. He said that in the preliminary investigation, it has been found that Kushank Gupta, a resident of Aranya Signature in the Civil Lines police station area, used to run a shop in the name of Siddhbali Sports near the stadium. About a month and a half ago, he had a dispute with his tenant shopkeeper.

A youth resident of Noorpur town in Bijnor district used to rent a shop of Kushank and run a restaurant in it. There was a dispute with Kushank about vacating the shop. Police is also probing the matter from this angle. Apart from this, with the help of CCTV footage and surveillance, the police is investigating the matter. The SSP said that the FIR is being registered on the basis of the complaint given by the family members.

There was a fight two months ago
Two months back, the tenant had thrashed the businessman and his family. The businessman suffered a serious head injury in this incident. Despite this, the police did not take any concrete action against the tenant. On the contrary, for the purpose of ending the case, both the parties were challaned for breach of peace.

The father alleges that the accused were threatening to kill the son, but the police was not ready to listen. Businessman Kushank’s father told that Priyanshu Goyal, a resident of Kabir Nagar of Noorpar police station area of Bijnor district, had taken the shop on rent. There was a dispute due to non-payment of rent on time. When the shopkeeper was asked to vacate the shop, he started making threats. The father alleges that in the month of November, Priyanshu Goyal along with his brother and others beat up Kushank.
