Delhi : After Shaheen Bagh, bulldozers went on in New Friends Colony and Mangolpuri, heavy security forces deployed in the area
After Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh, now bulldozers have also run in New Friends Colony and Mangolpuri. To remove illegal encroachments, South Delhi Municipal Corporation has got bulldozers run in New Friends Colony, while North Delhi Municipal Corporation has got bulldozers run in Mangolpuri. Heavy police force was deployed in the area even before the bulldozers reached New Friends Colony, so that there would be no ruckus. Delhi Police has provided full security to the MCD team.
MCD Assistant Section Officer while talking to a private TV channel said that most of the people had removed the encroachment on their own. He said, “The action in Mangolpuri has been completed. 70 per cent of the people themselves removed the encroachment and we have removed the remaining 30 per cent.” At the same time, in New Friends Colony, MCD has demolished illegal construction with a bulldozer.
At the same time, after Shaheen Bagh, the Aam Aadmi Party has lodged a protest against the bulldozer action in Mangolpuri. AAP MLA Mukesh Ahlawat said that they should first prove the encroachment. “When people have vacated the area, why are they (North MCD) creating inconvenience by using bulldozers to surround them? We are against it and it should be stopped. They have to first prove that this is trespassing.”
At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mukesh Ahlawat has been taken into custody by the police for creating a ruckus. Outer District DCP Sameer Sharma told news agency ANI, “Anti-encroachment operation is underway. Local MLA (AAP MLA Mukesh Ahlawat) came here and said that what is the need of using JCB? To prevent jeopardizing the situation, we have taken the MLA into custody.”
Case registered against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan
At the same time, Delhi Police has registered a case against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan. This case has been registered on the complaint of South Delhi Municipal Corporation. MCD has accused AAP MLA of obstructing government work. On Monday, MCD officials had reached Shaheen Bagh with a bulldozer. But there was a lot of ruckus by the AAP MLA and his supporters.
