Rahul Dravid will not be included in BJP’s program, after BCCI, Dravid himself denied

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has denied reports of Rahul Dravid joining the Bharatiya Janata Party function. The board has rubbished the news quoting the former cricketer. On Monday, the BJP MLA had claimed that Dravid would attend the Yuva Morcha’s National Working Committee session to be held in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamsala. Dravid’s statement has also come to the fore in this matter. He has denied these reports.

In a conversation with news agency ANI, the BJP MLA had said, ‘The National Working Committee meeting of BJP Yuva Morcha will be held in Dharamsala from May 12 to 15. The national leadership of BJP and the leadership of Himachal Pradesh will be involved. BJP National President JP Nadda, National Organization Minister and Union Minister will also attend the session.

He had said, ‘Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid will also be involved in this. Seeing his success, a message will be sent among the youth that we can move ahead not only in politics but also in other fields.

What Dravid said
Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid also termed the media reports as rumours. Talking to news agency ANI, he said, “A section of the media has reported that I will attend a meeting in Himachal Pradesh from May 12 to 15, 2022. I want to clarify that the said report is false.”

The special thing is that this meeting of BJP is being organized at a time when assembly elections are to be held in the state at the end of the year. In 2017, the BJP had succeeded in forming the government in the state with 44 out of 68 seats. At the same time, Congress got 21 seats. Whereas, 3 seats were lost in the account of others.
