Uttarakhand / Almora : Native union agitated due to non-arrest in the case of taking the groom off the mare
In the case of Salt Tehsil’s attempt to get the well-known scheduled caste groom off the mare, the officials of the Dwarahat branch of Uttarakhand Native Association submitted a memorandum in the name of the President to the SDM. In the memorandum, the demand was raised to arrest the accused soon.
Recently, in Salt, the case of an attempt to get a Scheduled Caste groom off the mare had come to the fore. After registering a case against some people in the matter, its investigation has been handed over to the regular police. The Native Union met SDM Jai Vardhan Sharma in Dwarahat and raised the demand for the arrest of the accused. He alleged that some villagers were pressurizing the complainant Darshan Lal and his family for a settlement. There the Vice President of the Native Union, Ganesh Arya, Councilor Pramod Kumar, Naval Kishore Arya, Dheeraj Arya, NK Arya, Pyare Lal, Poojakhet head Krishna Kumar, CP Tamta, Tara Arya were there.
