Uttarakhand / Ranikhet : Guldar pounced on a young man returning home on a bike after teaching tuition, saved his life

Apart from various rural areas of Tehsil, there is terror of Guldar in the areas adjoining the city. On Thursday night, a young man returning to Ranikhet on a bike after teaching tuition from village Kilkot, adjacent to the city, was stunned. However, due to the sound and light of the bike, Guldar fled from there and the young man’s life was narrowly saved. A minor injured youth was treated at the Government Hospital, Ranikhet.

23-year-old Kamal Kumar, son of Mahendra Kumar, a resident of the essential market of the city, runs the coaching center and teaches tuition to the children even after going home. Last Thursday night around 8.15, he was returning home on a bike after teaching tuition to children in Kilkot village adjoining the city. In a turn between Kilkot and Butchari, Guldar suddenly jumped on the moving bike. Due to which the bike got out of control and fell on the road. Seeing Guldar in front, Kamal panicked and tried to drive away Guldar by making a loud sound from the accelerator of the bike. Due to this, Guldar ran towards the forest while climbing on the lotus that had fallen on the road. There were minor wounds on Kamal’s shoulder due to the nails of Guldar. On informing the panicked Kamal on the phone, the family immediately reached the spot and took him to the Government Hospital Ranikhet for treatment. The doctors discharged Kamal after first aid. Doctors have said to keep it under observation along with applying anti rabies. Here, after the information, on the instructions of Forest Officer Harish Tamta, on Friday morning, the team of forest workers went to Kamal’s house and inquired about his condition. Range Officer Tamta said that the forest department would also continuously monitor the injured Kamal. He will be given proper compensation from the department.
