Uttarakhand / Mussoorie: SDM rained on Jal Nigam, which is coming in the way of beautification of Mall Road, asked to work fast
SDM Naresh Durgapal held a review meeting regarding the preparations for the tourism season. He reprimanded the officials of the Jal Nigam for the slow construction of the road after laying the drinking water lines. He said that the beautification of the mall road is being done on the instructions of high officials and cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi. He told that soon the mall road will be broken down to 6 to 8 inches. The SDM said that negligent officers and employees will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
SDM Mussoorie Naresh Durgapal said that Jal Nigam is delaying the repair of the road. The contractors to whom the work has been done by Jal Nigam are working very slowly. In such a situation, he has instructed the Executive Engineer of Jal Nigam to repair the damaged roads on a war footing, so that no one faces any problem during the tourist season. He also directed the Public Works Department to repair the roads. The Electricity Department and Telecom companies have been instructed to remove the dangling wires on the Mall Road within 15 days. Demand of the BJP Mandal President: BJP Mandal President Mohan Petwal said that the service while making the Mall Road The gallery should be constructed at any cost, so that the mall road is not dug again and again. He urged for planning in advance for the construction of roads along with laying of drinking water lines in Mussoorie Landour market, so that the people of Landour do not face any kind of problem.
Mohan Petwal said that he is constantly telling the municipal administration about the problems being faced by the people due to lack of toilets at Picture Palace Chowk in Mussoorie, but the municipal administration is not paying attention to it, due to which there is a lot of resentment among the people. . He has demanded from SDM Mussoorie the Municipality or Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority to construct toilets around Picture Palace Chowk.

Mussoorie SDM informed that 121 rickshaw pullers have been proposed to be re-displaced or one time settlement. The municipality will take a decision on this after discussing it.
