Six people have been arrested by the team of Human Trafficking Cell, exposing the sex racket running under the guise of spa center. The arrested women are from different states. At the same time, all the three youths arrested are residents of Haldwani.
The team of CO Traffic Vibha Dixit and Human Trafficking Cell in-charge Lata Bisht raided a spa center operated in Kamaluvaganja area on Saturday night at around 8 pm and arrested six people. Police were getting complaints about sex racket running under the guise of spa center for a long time. When the police team started monitoring the spa center on Saturday, they raided late in the evening. During this, three women residents of West Bengal, Delhi and Gurgaon along with spa center operator Kailash Bhandari, customer Umesh Joshi and Umesh Arya were arrested. CO Traffic said that the three women are divorced and widowed. One of these women has said to come to Haldwani a week ago. At the same time, according to the information, it has come to the notice of women getting a salary of ten thousand rupees per month in the spa center. Along with this, the matter of online booking and online payment has also come to the fore. At the same time, the AHTU in-charge said that his team has been monitoring these spa centers for several days. During the raid, about 6000 rupees and incriminating material were also recovered.
