Uttarakhand / Pauri : Work being affected due to shortage of employees in the blocks
In the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha), the public representatives complained about the shortage of employees in the blocks. The public representatives also demanded from the former CM and MP Garhwal to solve this problem at the earliest. He said that due to shortage of staff in the blocks, the development works of the panchayats are getting affected and people are not getting the benefits of the schemes. MP Garhwal Tirath Singh Rawat instructed the officers to come to the meeting with full preparation.
In the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) held at Vikas Bhawan auditorium on Monday, Block Chief Dwarikhal Mahendra Rana and other Block Heads said that due to shortage of staff in their blocks, the work of Panchayats is being affected. Said that the mentally handicapped are facing problems due to non-receipt of pension. On which MP Tirath Singh Rawat instructed the officials to solve this problem by making harmony among themselves. Block chief Khirsu said that the district administration had not informed him about this meeting. On which the MP expressed displeasure and instructed the officers to improve the methodology. During this, MP Garhwal and DM expressed strong displeasure when the nodal officer of the municipality came to the meeting with half-incomplete information. He said that strict action would be taken in case of such recurrence in future. The MP instructed all the nodal officers to come to the meeting with complete information. The MP decided to set up camps to improve the dilapidated roads soon, to make social welfare schemes accessible to the public, to start the work of asphaltization of the Buakhal-Nisani damaged motor road of PMGSY within a week, to the works being done under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
