Adani charges 10 times at other airports after Lucknow, the next number is of railway stations?
Under Public Private Partnership, many airports and railway stations of the country have been handed over to private hands. The side effects of which have started coming. Recently, the Adani Group increased the convenience fee at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport to ten times. Now a similar decision has been taken for other airports in the country.
According to the information, the convenience fee at the airports of Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Mangalore and Thiruvananthapuram will also be increased 10 times soon. Let us inform that Adani Group operates all these airports including Lucknow. Recently ‘The Economic Times’ reported in its report that Adani Group has hired a new ground handling company. Due to which the charge has been increased up to ten times.
Adani has got the highest bidder to operate these airports on a ‘monthly per passenger fee’ basis. Soon he will be seen handling the railway station as well. In fact, Adani Railways has also bid for the contract for the redevelopment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai.
Adani Railways is one of those nine companies. who has bid. These companies include Godrej Properties, Oberoi Realty, Anchorage Infrastructure Investment Holdings, ISQ Asia Infrastructure Investments, Kalpataru Power Transmission, Moribus Holdings, GMR Enterprises and BIF IV Infrastructure Holding DIFC, apart from Adani Railways.
Explain that Railways has planned to redevelop a total of 123 railway stations in collaboration with the private sector, in which 63 will be worked on by IRSDC and 60 on RLDA. About Rs 50,000 crore will be spent on redevelopment of all these stations. This is also on the lines of Public Private Partnership.
