Tamilnadu : The mother first raped the minor daughter before her friend, then sold the eggs; Victims were happening for 5 years
A surprising case has come to light in Tamil Nadu. Here a mother raped her minor daughter and then made a deal for her eggs. Not only did her mother’s male friend rape the minor girl again and again, but also started the business of getting her eggs removed and selling them in hospitals. The case is of Salem district. The rape victim’s mother and her friend have been arrested. This news of crime in close relationships ranges from immoral business to violation of the law.
Police said that the process of raping the girl and selling her eggs was going on since 2017. The girl was a minor at that time. In the last 4 years, her womb has been dealt more than 8 times. Now when the girl got upset and ran away from her mother’s house, then the whole matter came to light. The police have arrested the victim’s mother and her accomplice. Two other people have also been arrested. Police is also probing the complicity of hospitals and doctors in this case.
Egg was sold for 20 thousand rupees
The girl told that every time she got pregnant, she used to get 20 thousand rupees from the hospital for selling eggs. Out of this, a woman used to take 5 thousand rupees as commission and the rest was kept by the mother and her friend. This was being done twice a year. It is suspected that this was being done for IVF. In IVF technique, the embryo receiver is implanted in the woman’s womb. In most cases, this happens when a woman is failing to become a mother because of her eggs. According to experts, a woman can be mentally affected after donating eggs.
Girl used to live with her mother at her male friend’s place
The girl’s parents separated 10 years ago, after which she lived with her mother at her male friend. Daughter’s age is 16 years at present. A 30-year-old woman was involved in the business of selling eggs in a private fertility clinic and when her daughter became young, she pressured her daughter to donate her egg too. Her 40-year-old friend also used to harass her for this work. The girl, who had been suffering from cruelty for many years, had run away from her house in May and went to her friend. The girl narrated the incident to a friend, after which her friend and some relatives together lodged a complaint with the police. The police have arrested the girl’s mother and her male friend.
Police officers probing this case say that some doctors and touts have been identified in this case. Action will be taken against them too. At the same time, the health officials have started the girl’s council.
