Uttarakhand : Sachendra of Almora became a lieutenant in the army
Sachendra of Almora has become a lieutenant in the army. Sachendra joined the Indian Army as a lieutenant in the army after the passing out parade held at IAMA Dehradun last day.
Sachendra’s father Yashwant Pawar “Binny” Bajaj is a sales manager at Allianz while his mother Deepa Pawar is a housewife. Sachendra Singh has given the credit of his success to his grandfather, parents, family and teachers.
It is worth mentioning that Sachendra’s grandfather Chandan Singh Pawar has served as Subedar in 4th Kumaon Battalion. Chandan Singh Pawar joined the Indian Army in the year 1956. After serving in the Indian Army for 28 years, he retired from the rank of Subedar. Chandan Singh also visited Gaza abroad in 1959 for peace talks. He was part of the Indian Army in the Goa Operation in 1961, the China Operation in 1962, the West Pakistan War in 1965, the East Pakistan War in 1971. Chandan Singh Pawar has been honored with the President’s Award by the sixth President of India, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy.
There is an atmosphere of joy in his house and locality after Sachendra Singh Pawar became a lieutenant in the army. Dignitaries and friends of the city have expressed happiness on his success.
