Bihar: Students furious from Agneepath movement set fire to BJP office in Nawada, stone pelting on woman MLA’s car

In Bihar, there is a fierce protest against the Agneepath scheme of the central government. Army recruitment candidates vandalized the BJP’s district office in Nawada on Thursday and set fire to it. The office building was engulfed in flames. BJP MLA Aruna Devi’s convoy from Warisliganj was also attacked. The furious youths broke the glass by pelting stones at the woman MLA’s car.

A large number of students took to the streets in Nawada since Thursday morning. Firstly the candidates demonstrated at Prajatantra Chowk. They reached Nawada railway station while setting fire to the streets and vandalized it fiercely. Gaya-Howrah Express was halted at Warisliganj station and Gaya-Kiul MEMU train at Tilaiya Junction. Here, in many parts of the city including Sadbhavna Chowk, the furious students vandalized public property and damaged public property. The students pelted stones at various places including Prajatantra Chowk, Sadbhavna Chowk, Main Road, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Indira Chowk in the city.

Young protesters also pelted stones at Nawada district BJP office. This broke the glass of the office. Then the office was set on fire. On the other hand, the candidates pelted stones on the vehicle of Aruna Devi, MLA of Warisaliganj coming to Nawada. The woman MLA narrowly escaped and escaped from the spot on foot. But the windows of the vehicle were broken and other people including the driver were injured.
