Uttarakhand / Almora : Newlyweds hanging in the noose, police engaged in investigation
In the village panchayat Raun of Hawalbagh block, a newly married woman ended her life by hanging herself inside the house. On information, the revenue police team reached the spot and took possession of the dead body and filled the panchayat nama. The body was sent to Almora for post-mortem.
According to the information received, Komal alias Kamla Bisht (24), resident of village Raun, was married six months ago with Kishan Singh, resident of village Raun-dal. When the door of the room did not open till late on Thursday morning, the relatives gave voice to him. When there was no response, the family broke the door. The newlywed’s body was hanging in a noose. The incident was reported to the Revenue Police. The revenue police team that reached the spot took the dead body out of the trap and sent the body to Almora for post-mortem. According to the information, the husband of the deceased woman lives in Almora due to work.
