IAS Ram Bilas Yadav could not tell who deposited crores of rupees in his accounts – Director, Vigilance

Vigilance has got many information in the interrogation of IAS Ram Bilas Yadav, arrested in the disproportionate assets case. When the accounts of Ram Bilas Yadav were investigated, it was found that crores of rupees are deposited in his accounts. When asked about the amount, he said that he does not know who has deposited the money in his account.

Vigilance director Amit Sinha held a press conference

In the press conference held at the Police Headquarters, Director of Vigilance Amit Sinha said that during the interrogation Ram Bilas Yadav was questioned about the property acquired on his behalf, then he did not give satisfactory answers to the questions asked.

No satisfactory answer given about expenses

The accused officer has registered his lavish Vihar Ranikothi residence located in Lucknow, Janta Vidyalaya located in Gudamba, Registry of land purchased in Noida, 10 bighas of land in Ghazipur district, amount deposited in FD and accounts, amount deposited in bank accounts of family members and No satisfactory answer was given regarding family expenses.

IAS Yadav was arrested at 2.15 pm

Till now, on the available records and interrogation of the accused, the total income during the check period was found to be Rs 50 lakh 48 thousand and expenditure of Rs 3 crore 12 lakh. He also did not specify the amount of income expenditure. After a long interrogation, Ram Bilas Yadav was arrested at 2.15 pm.
