Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Dr. Mahesh Kumar, the operator of Sanjeevani Hospital, Haldwani drowned in the Tarsar lake of Kashmir

Dr. Mahesh Kumar, the operator of Sanjeevani Hospital Haldwani, who went on the track in Jammu and Kashmir, drowned in the lake. A wooden bridge has been built on the Tarsar lake in Tral of Pulwama district of Kashmir. Dr. Mahesh Kumar, the operator of Sanjeevani Hospital, Haldwani and his local guide Dr. Shakeel Ahmed were washed away in the strong current of the lake due to the breaking of the bridge in heavy rain.

Both could not be traced in the search operation which lasted till late evening. In such a situation, the relatives are scared in the apprehension of something untoward. At the same time, 12 other people present at the spot have been shifted to a safe place by the rescue team.

Dr. Mahesh Kumar had reached the Tarsar Lake area for trekking along with his companions from Haldwani on 18 June. He was accompanied by three tourist guides and 14 other people. The team got stuck there due to continuous heavy rain for three days.

Part of the foot bridge over Tarsar lake collapsed on Wednesday morning due to rising water level of the lake. Due to this Dr. Mahesh and Dr. Shakeel Ahmed of Ganderbal who was with him drowned in the lake. NDRF and SDRF team evacuated 12 members of the team to Aaru base camp.

In the matter, Mohammad Hussain, Tehsildar of Pahalgam told that Dr. Mahesh and Dr. Shakeel have drowned in the lake. At the same time, Dr. Roshan of Haldwani, who went with Dr. Mahesh, told that he had drowned. Nothing is known about them yet. Rescue teams will search for them again on Thursday morning. Right now we are all praying for his well being.

Dr. Mahesh is fond of trekking

Mahesh Kumar, the reputed doctor of the city, is fond of trekking. He has been going to remote areas for trekking from time to time. Recently, Garhwal also went for trekking. Presently Dr. Mahesh runs the hospital with his daughter. He has a special identity in the whole circle.
