Maharashtra : Shiv Sena’s rebel Eknath Shinde overturned by the statement supporting the national party

Shiv Sena’s rebel leader Eknath Shinde had created panic in the political corridors of Maharashtra by giving a statement a day ago, now he has taken a U-turn from that statement. Eknath Shinde has now said that there is no national party in our contact. Shinde’s statement came at a time when he had claimed a day earlier that the support of a powerful national party was with his legislature group.

Eknath Shinde had told the MLAs in a video on Thursday that he (BJP) is a national party, while playing the stakes in the midst of the political upheaval in Maharashtra. We have their support. Shinde said that he has told me that the decision taken is historic and he will be present when the need arises. Speculations are hot in the political corridors and it was being said that Shinde can stake claim to form the government with the help of BJP. However, Shinde had used the word a national party in his statement without naming any party.

What did BJP say?

Why Eknath Shinde’s U-turn suddenly? It may be too early to say anything about it now. However, even today, Maharashtra Chief of Bharatiya Janata Party Chandrakant Patil has made it clear that BJP has nothing to do with the ongoing turmoil in Shiv Sena. At the same time, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has claimed before the meeting with CM Uddhav Thackeray that the support of his party NCP is with Uddhav Thackeray.
