For information, let us tell you that a few days ago, the Supreme Court had given a big decision regarding the environment. It was made clear in that decision that the entire area of one kilometer around the protected forests, wildlife sanctuaries, is going to be an eco-sensitive zone (ESZ). The Supreme Court has given this decision to control all the activities of ESZ.
But the controversy in Kerala is about the fact that if this rule is strictly implemented there, then what will happen to the people living in the eco-sensitive area, where will they go? Regarding this issue, SFI workers took out a demonstration in Wayanad and tried to know the views of Rahul Gandhi. Although Rahul Gandhi has not spoken to the media on this issue so far, but a letter has been written on his behalf to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In that letter, Rahul Gandhi has told that due to the decision of the Supreme Court, the concern of the local people of Wayanad has increased a lot. Due to this one decision, there is going to be a difference from farming to other activities. In such a situation, an appeal has been made to the PM on his behalf that along with the environment, the convenience and livelihood of the people should also be taken care of.
