Punjab : Bhagwant Mann and Gurpreet Kaur became each other’s CM
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann married Dr. Gurpreet Kaur of Kurukshetra, Haryana in a private and simple ceremony at his residence in Chandigarh today. Some of the big things about this marriage that you might be interested to know are-
According to news agency ANI, the ‘band, baaja, baraat’ usually used for weddings were missing but the festive atmosphere prevailed. Photos on television and Twitter showed CM Bhagwant Mann and his bride dressed in red at the Anand Karaj ceremony.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha shared some pictures on Twitter. In which Bhagwant Mann is shown wearing his yellow turban and golden colored kurta-pyjama. Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, his family and Chaddha attended the wedding.
Tight security arrangements were in place at the Chief Minister’s house in Sector 2 of Chandigarh. The bride also shared a picture of herself on Twitter.
The wedding menu consisted of Indian and Italian dishes. In which there was also Kadhai Paneer, Tandoori Kulche, Dal Makhani, Navratan Biryani, Seasonal Vegetables, Apricot Stuffed Kofta, Lasagna Siciliano and Moong Dal Halwa, Angoori Rasmalai and Dry Fruits Rabri.
This is the second marriage of CM Bhagwant Mann. They got divorced six years ago and have two children from their previous marriage – daughter Seerat Kaur (21) and son Dilshan (17).
