Uttar Pradesh : Yogi gave strict instructions on Bakrid and Kanwar Yatra, said – Police should strictly deal with chaotic elements, sacrifice should not be done at disputed places

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to maintain peace and harmony in the state in view of the Kanwar Yatra going out in the month of Shravan, organizing Sawan fairs, festivals of Shivratri, Rakshabandhan and Nagpanchami and the festivals of Bakrid and Muharram. The police-administration has been directed to issue mischievous statements and deal strictly with the chaotic elements trying to spoil the atmosphere. On Wednesday, through video conferencing, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took information from all the Zonal Inspectors General of Police, Divisional Commissioners, Police Commissioners about their action plan in view of Shravan month and Bakrid and gave guidelines. Respect should be given to religious tradition and faith but no new tradition should be started. Before giving permission to the organizers, a clear affidavit should be taken from them about ensuring peace and harmony. Senior officers posted at police station, circle, district, range, zone, mandal level should communicate with religious leaders of their areas, other eminent people of the society and hold peace committee meetings. On the information of any untoward incident, the District Magistrate and the Police Captain reached the spot immediately. Senior officers should lead in sensitive matters. Implement sector scheme. Traffic should not be affected by Bakrid prayers

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that like goodbye prayers in Ramzan and Eid, the traffic should not be affected due to religious activities on the occasion of Bakrid. If needed, the system of offering Namaz shift wise should be implemented. Places should be marked in advance for sacrifice on Bakrid. There should be no sacrifice in disputed places. No sacrifice should be made anywhere other than the designated place. Also make sure that the banned animal is not sacrificed anywhere. There should be systematic disposal of waste after sacrifice.

Play only religious songs in Kanwar Yatra

The Chief Minister said that devotees should not be harassed during the Kanwar Yatra, but ensure that the sound of DJs, songs, music etc. is as per the prescribed standards and only religious songs are played in it.

There should be no display of weapons in religious processions

CM Yogi Adityanath said that weapons and weapons should not be displayed in religious tours and processions. There should not be any incident that hurts the sentiments of people of other religions.

All arrangements should be made for Kanwar Yatra

The Chief Minister directed to ensure smooth supply of electricity during festivals. He instructed to fix the dilapidated electric poles, dangling electric wires etc. on the route of Kanwar Yatra in time. Said that meat etc. should not be sold in the open anywhere on the Kanwar Yatra route. There should also be arrangement for cleanliness, street lighting and drinking water on the travel route. Health posts should be set up at various places on the Kanwar Yatra route, which should have first aid and covid testing facilities.

Traffic diversion also for Kanwar Yatra

CM Yogi said that in view of the number of devotees on other travel routes along the Ghaziabad-Haridwar route, which is the busiest from the point of view of Kanwar Yatra, traffic route diversion should be done. Make dialogue with the border states also. The Transport Department kept in touch with the local administration. There should be adequate availability of buses and other means of public transport. It would be appropriate to keep one-way general traffic closed on the Basti-Ayodhya road except for essential services on special occasions.

Visitors of Kashi Vishwanath temple should not be inconvenienced

The Chief Minister said that after the revitalization of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple there has been an unprecedented increase in the number of devotees. In such a situation, make a systematic action plan with the local police commissionerate, district administration, temple administration. The arrangements should be such that no devotee is inconvenienced.

Organize Independence Day on the banks of Amrit Sarovar

The Chief Minister said that this time in the Amrit Mahotsav year of independence, Independence Day should be organized with dignity. Theme based Prabhat Pheri should be taken out by school children. The national flag should also be hoisted in village secretariats and all urban bodies. Honor the freedom fighters, the relatives of the martyrs. Where Amrit Sarovar has been built, Independence Day should be organized on its banks. Detailed guidelines should be issued from the level of the Chief Secretary regarding the Independence Day celebrations.
