The proposal was approved in the meeting of the cantonment council held on Wednesday by the chairman of the board, Brigadier Anirban Dutta. The main issue in the meeting of the Cantt Board this time was the polythene free campaign. The special thing is that ‘Thala Ghar’ is being linked with Vocational Training Centers. There is another good aspect related to this campaign. Under a special campaign to make bags, old clothes will be collected from house to house. Apart from this, the Cantt Board is also going to take an important step under the campaign of environmental protection. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a Vermicomposting Park is also being established in the Cantonment area. Where manure will be prepared from cow dung, leaves, kitchen waste etc. Site is being earmarked for Vermicomposting Park. At the same time, necessary resources are also being mobilized. Chief Executive Officer Abhinav Singh, nominated member Vinod Panwar etc. were present in the board meeting.
