Uttarakhand/ Dehradun : The accused of attempted chain robbery arrested with a knife, has already gone to jail
The accused who tried to rob the chain from the woman has been arrested by the Raipur police station. The accused is a resident of Pauri district and has been in jail in the past.
According to SSI Ashish Rawat, on Sunday night, Sureshi Devi, a resident of Balwala, gave a complaint that on Saturday, she had gone to the Haat with her mother-in-law to buy vegetables.
She had reached Milan Wedding Point with vegetables when an unknown person tried to snatch the chain from her mother-in-law’s neck. In the scuffle, the chain fell down, after which the accused fled.
In this case, the Raipur police station arrested Rahul, resident of Sasau-Masau Post Pabo District Pauri Garhwal from Raipur. SSI told that Rahul is addicted to smack and for intoxication he planned to carry out the robbery incident.
He also tried to rob the chain from the neck of another woman in Balawala area, but he could not succeed.
