Uttarakhand: New education policy implemented from today, the country’s first state to implement NEP, CM launched NEP with the inauguration of children’s gardens
It has become the first state in the country to implement the education policy. The new education policy has been implemented from today i.e. 12th July. For the first time in the state, the new National Education Policy-2020 has been started in primary education under school education. In the Directorate General of Education, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami duly inaugurated the new education policy in the state by inaugurating the Balvatikas. Along with this, Uttarakhand also achieved the distinction of becoming the first state in the country to implement NEP under the leadership of CM Dhami. In all the districts of the state, in the co-located Anganwadi centers identified at the block level, regional MLAs and local public representatives inaugurated the Balwatikas in a big way, in which educationists, parents and students were involved. Along with this, in the first phase, operation of Balvatika classes will start in five thousand Anganwadi centers operating in primary schools under the Education Department.
Apart from this, the CM also inaugurated the building of the Primary Directorate. During this CM Dhami said:-
- Earlier we used to read Macaulay’s education policy but now we will read India’s culture and Sanatan education policy.
- This education policy will prove to be meaningful for the future of the country.
- Through the new education policy, the youngsters are going to get practical, cultural, economic scholarship and qualities.
- We will also inaugurate the building for which we lay the foundation stone, do not leave it after laying the foundation stone.
- If the Education Department has to increase the DPR, it should increase it, there should not be any shortage in it.
- By 2030, the new education policy will be fully implemented in Uttarakhand.
- Education policy will work to bring happiness not only for a few days but in their entire life.
- Like private schools, there is a system of pre-school in government schools too.
- The new education policy that has been brought by the Prime Minister, in which Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat has been envisaged, this education policy will lead to development of students not only externally but also within them.
- One of the aims of education policy is to become self-reliant, Ek Bharat should become a Shreshtha Bharat.
- All the people associated with Anganwadi are getting good contribution.
- A committee of Uniform Civil Code Act has been formed, the committee has started working, it is doing its work by doing public dialogue.
- The Chief Minister also announced that five Anganwadis whose buildings have become dilapidated will be repaired.
New education policy
- In the first phase, operation of children’s gardens will start in five thousand Anganwadi centers running in primary schools. At the block level, in the presence of regional MLAs and local public representatives, Bal Vatikas will be inaugurated in the identified Anganwadi centers. Academics, parents and students will also be present in this.
- On behalf of the State Council of Educational Research and Training, three exercise books named Handbook for Anganwadi workers and teachers, Health for children, Dialogue and Srijan have been prepared.
- There are 4447 Anganwadi centers running in the primary school premises of the state. In these centers, students will be prepared for class one by starting classes from pre-primary. Pre-primary has been named as Balvatika by the Education Department. A separate syllabus has been prepared for this by the department.
There are more than 20 thousand Anganwadi centers
20 thousand 67 Anganwadi centers are approved in Uttarakhand. Out of this, 20 thousand 17 Anganwadi centers are being operated. 14555 Anganwadi workers are posted in these centres. Apart from this, 14249 assistants and 4941 mini anganwadi workers are appointed in Anganwadi centers.
When did the new education policy come?
The new National Education Policy 2020 was launched by the Narendra Modi government at the Center. Under which the government made many changes in the education policy. To make India a ‘global knowledge superpower’ through the new National Education Policy (NEP). Since then the Ministry of Human Resource Management is known as the Ministry of Education.
There is also a provision to encourage NCC
A provision has also been made to encourage NCC under the New Education Policy. In view of this, it has been decided by the UGC and NICT to elect NCC as an optional subject in the university. Through NCC, the students of the country will be able to become disciplined and ‘patriotic’.
