Maharashtra : Shiv Sena breaks silence on support to NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu, Sanjay Raut gave this statement

Shiv Sena has supported NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu for the presidential election. On this matter, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said that we are not in NDA, but have supported Draupadi Murmu. This is not a political endorsement. Earlier, Shiv Sena had also supported Pratibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee.

On Draupadi Murmu’s visit to Matoshree, Sanjay Raut said that he does not know whether she is coming to Matoshree to meet Uddhav Thackeray or not. Apart from this, while talking about the severe floods in Maharashtra, he said that 12 days have passed in Maharashtra but the government is not working. This government is illegal. While asking the question, where is the Governor of Maharashtra for 12 days? There is a serious situation like flood in Maharashtra.

Shivsena gave a blow to the opposition

Earlier also Sanjay Raut had said that supporting Draupadi Murmu does not mean supporting BJP. We are supporting Draupadi Murmu in the name of tribal leader. Apart from this, this decision has also been taken keeping in mind the public sentiment. Let us tell you that when the meeting was held regarding the candidate of the opposition, then Shiv Sena also participated in it. But now his stand is like a blow to the opposition unity too.

Shivsena did not give such support

Let us tell you that Uddhav Thackeray had called a meeting of MPs. In this, out of 19 Lok Sabha MPs, only 12 had arrived and 7 were missing. Not only this, the MPs involved in the meeting had also put pressure on Thackeray that the party should support Draupadi Murmu. Uddhav Thackeray had said to consider this. Now it is clear from Sanjay Raut’s statement that to save the party, Shiv Sena has to change its stand. It is noteworthy that 40 out of 55 MLAs of the party have gone with Eknath Shinde. Apart from this, a large number of MPs are also being said to be in support of Eknath Shinde.
