Aam Aadmi Party with opposition in Presidential election, announces support to Yashwant Sinha

Voting is to be held on July 18 to elect the next President of the country. Before the voting, along with the presidential candidates, the ruling and opposition camps are in active mode. Efforts are on from both sides to garner more support in their favor.  Good news came for the opposition camp amidst the ever-deteriorating equations.

The opposition parties have got the support of the Aam Aadmi Party, which is in power in the Union Territories of Delhi and Punjab.  The Aam Aadmi Party has announced to support Yashwant Sinha, the opposition candidate in the presidential election.  Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday announced the support of Yashwant Sinha.

According to the information, a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee of the Aam Aadmi Party was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.  In this meeting, there was a discussion about which candidate the party should support in the presidential election.  In the meeting, all the leaders spoke in one voice to support the opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, while announcing the support of Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election, said that all the MPs and MLAs of the party will vote for Yashwant Sinha.  He said that this decision has been taken by Arvind Kejriwal and PAC.

Aam Aadmi Party’s announcement of support of Yashwant Sinha comes at a time when parties like Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Biju Janata Dal have announced the support of NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu.  Apart from this, many parties of the opposition camp have already announced the support of Draupadi Murmu.

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, YSR Congress, TDP, Janata Dal (S), Shiromani Akali Dal, UDP, who were allies of Samajwadi Party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, had already announced their support for NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu.
