Uttarakhand / Almora : Hemp smuggling accused’s bail plea rejected

The court of Special Sessions Judge Malik Mazhar Sultan has rejected the bail application of one of the accused in the ganja smuggling case. On behalf of the prosecution, District Government Advocate Puran Singh Kaida told that on May 25, 2022, during the checking, the Salt Police had searched Tata Maza DL10C, 1267 on the road going from village Katpatia God to village Gular. During the search, more than 57 kg of ganja was recovered from the vehicle. The police arrested the driver Kailash Singh Rawat son of Ram Singh resident of Ghugti Ghanyal Tehsil Syalde on the charge of smuggling ganja and sent him to jail. The accused through his advocate filed a bail application in the court. Which was opposed by the prosecution. After perusing the evidence present in the letter, the court rejected the bail application of the accused.
