Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Angry pensioners’ movement started due to lack of treatment and medicine
Angry pensioners have started agitation over closure of OPD due to closure of medicine facility from authorized chemist under CGHS and non-payment of payment at Max Hospital. They have started a dharna from Monday at the CGHS in-charge office on GMS Road.
President BS Negi and General Secretary SS Chauhan said that due to not being able to solve the problem of pensioners, they are forced to adopt the path of agitation. Even after raising the demand many times, there is no solution. Indicated medicines prescribed by specialist doctors to critical patients (elderly) are supplied by authorized chemists under legal process, which are available in cashless form to the patients in the concerned wellness center on the second day. Rest of the medicines available in CGHS stores are given to the concerned patients on the same day. This procedure is applicable at all CGHS wellness centers across the country. But with the order, hundreds of patients, elderly people, who come to each center daily for treatment and medicine, are facing problems due to non-availability of medicines. Said that after meeting the Additional Director Dr. Janki Jangpangi, the problem was explained. During this, patron NN Baluni, MS Rawat, convener KS Bangari, joint secretary VD Sharma, co-secretary HS Kala, Jayanand, DP Bahuguna, KP Maithani, Umeshwar Rawat, JN Sharma, IJ Singh, CD Shukla, Chatar Singh, Amrit Singh etc. were present.
