Voting continues in Dehradun for Presidential election, these MLAs including CM Dhami cast their votes

Voting for the presidential election continues on Monday. 11 MLAs cast their votes in the assembly till 10.15 pm. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also used his vote. For voting, all MLAs will have to pass through seven tables to vote. Room 321 in the assembly has been made a polling place for voting. In this gallery, the entry of everyone except the MLAs and the staff engaged in polling duty was banned. Tight security arrangements have been made in the assembly in view of the elections. The Election Commission has nominated the Secretary of the Legislative Assembly, Mukesh Singhal, as the Returning Officer, under his supervision, the voting process will start from 10 am.

The time for voting has been fixed till 5 pm. All the MLAs of Uttarakhand will cast their votes here, while Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs will cast their votes in Delhi. Returning officer Singhal said that there is a ban on carrying mobile phones, laptops and other materials in the polling booth. The MLAs will have to enter their preference number on the ballot from the PAN provided by the Election Commission. The MLA has to go through seven tables before casting his vote. First of all, their mobile phone will be placed in the table. After this the checking of the identity card and then the name slip will be given.

After this, they will be given a ballot in the next table and then they will get a PAN to vote. Then they will cast their vote and after that put their ballot box. If an MLA makes his vote public, it will be considered illegal.
