Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed on Tuesday that Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale will represent the party in the Lok Sabha. Shewale is the leader of the Shinde faction. Amidst this statement of Shinde, a big news has come to the fore. A 26-year-old woman who returned from Dubai has accused Rahul Shewale of rape. Along with this, a complaint has been made by writing a letter to CM Shinde. On the other hand, the police say that the MP has denied the allegations. A complaint has been given to the police in the Sakinaka police station in Mumbai. However, the FIR has not been registered yet.
According to the information, a 26-year-old woman has accused Shiv Sena’s Lok Sabha MP Rahul Shewale of rape. Police said the MP denied the allegation. The woman lodged a rape complaint against Shewale at the Sakinaka police station in suburban Mumbai, an official said. According to the official, no FIR has been registered so far and the police are yet to start investigation into the complaint.
In a statement, Shewale denied the allegation of rape and termed the complaint as a conspiracy to malign his political image. At the same time, the Member of Parliament from Mumbai South Central said that he is ready to face any police investigation and said that the people behind the conspiracy will be exposed.
Significantly, on Tuesday, CM Eknath Shinde gave a big information that Rahul Shewale has been chosen by Om Birla as the leader of Shiv Sena. For this, 12 Shiv Sena MPs wrote a letter to the Speaker to elect Rahul Shewale as the leader of the party in the Lok Sabha. Shewale is the leader of the Shinde faction.
