The matter of removing bra in the NEET exam, the ministry asked for the report, then NTA formed a committee

The Central Government has taken a tough stand on the incident of some girl students getting their innerwear removed in the name of checking before going to the examination hall in Kerala during the NEET medical entrance examination. On seeking a report in the matter of the ministry, the NTA has constituted a committee to visit the area, which will find out the facts. The Women’s Commission has also written a letter to NTA in this matter.
The National Commission for Women has termed this serious matter as shameful. The Education Ministry has sought a report from the NTA on a girl taking off her bra before going to the exam hall for the NEET exam on Monday. After which NTA has formed a committee to find out the truth.
The alleged incident came to light when the father of a girl, who appeared for the undergraduate medical course examination on Sunday, accused the authorities of the examination center in Kollam, Kerala, for ordering her daughter to remove her innerwear before entering the hall. While filing a complaint with the police. He also alleged that several girls faced similar behavior at the examination center of Marthoma Institute of Technology in Ayyur.
After the incident came to light, Kerala Higher Education Minister R Bindu also termed the incident as “inhuman and shocking” and urged the Center to intervene. NCW President Rekha Sharma wrote to the NTA demanding an independent inquiry into the allegations.
Center sent NTA to the spot
The NTA, an autonomous organization under the Union Education Ministry, on Monday issued a clarification saying that no such incident had come to its notice. However, the Union Education Ministry on Tuesday asked the agency to send a team to the spot.
