On Tuesday morning, at 6.25 am, the MDM school bus was going to Thawalkheda to pick up the children. Meanwhile, the water level in the Kirora drain increased. Manager Dharmendra Chandra got information that Kirola Nala was growing, so he asked the driver to come back. After this the driver was coming back without taking the children. On the way back, the bus was hit by a strong current on the banks of the Kirora drain and overturned. The driver of the bus was Kamlesh Sarki and the operator Yogesh Pant. The front left glass of the bus was broken when the bus fell into the drain. Due to which the driver operator came out of it. Both have been injured.
Both have been admitted to the sub-district hospital. The driver said that he was nervous seeing the water. Due to lack of understanding in the fast flow, one wheel of the bus slipped and went into the drain. It just fell. On receiving the information, the police SDRF and fire team reached the spot. At the same time, a passenger’s car is stuck in the middle. He is safe though. Apart from this, devotees going to Purnagiri are also trapped near the Kiroda drain due to its rise.
