In view of the increasing cases of monkeypox around the world, WHO has declared a global health emergency. Just after this case, the second case of this virus was also reported in Kerala itself.

The Center had given instructions for strict screening at airport-ports, so that patients of monkeypox could be identified and treated in time. At the same time, they can prevent the disease occurring in others. At the same time, the health department of the state had increased surveillance at all the five airports of the state. So far, cases of monkeypox have been found in 27 countries of the world. So far two cases of monkeypox have been found in India.
So far, two cases of monkeypox have been reported in the country and both are from Kerala. Regarding the second case, Kerala Health Minister Veena George told that the 31-year-old youth had come to Kerala from Dubai last week. When he was examined after showing symptoms of the disease, he was found to be monkeypox positive. The minister said that the youth, a resident of Kannur, was undergoing treatment at Pariyaram Medical College. Let us inform that after the first case of monkeypox was confirmed from Kollam district last week, the Union Health Ministry last week to assist the state health authorities. A high level multi-disciplinary team was sent to Kerala.
Health department eyeing five airports
After two monkeypox patients were found in Kerala, the state health department had increased surveillance at all five airports in the state from Sunday. People coming from abroad were being screened.
