Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Coronation Hospital on Monday to know the condition of people who fell ill after eating buckwheat flour. Due to adulteration in the flour, more than 100 people who ate it fell ill. All the people have suffered food poisoning. It is being told that this flour has been supplied from Saharanpur.

The Chief Minister talked to the patients admitted in Coronation Hospital and wished them speedy recovery. The CM directed District Magistrate Savin Bansal and Health Department officials to provide proper treatment to the people admitted in the hospitals. He said that if necessary, the number of beds in the hospital should be increased.
Treatment going on in Coronation Hospital and Doon Hospital
Let us tell you that due to food poisoning, 66 patients are admitted in Coronation Hospital and 44 in Doon Medical College. The Chief Minister directed the Health Department and District Magistrate Dehradun to make full arrangements for the treatment of patients coming to the hospitals.
Buckwheat flour was supplied from Saharanpur
Chief Minister Dhami said that the shop for which buckwheat flour was supplied from Saharanpur has been sealed. The shops for which buckwheat flour was supplied from that shop have also been informed. The district administration of Saharanpur has also been informed about this by the Dehradun district administration.
CM Dhami gave instructions for investigation
CM Dhami said that instructions have been given to the Health Secretary to investigate the matter. Strict action will be taken against the culprits. The CM said that to prevent such an incident from happening again, the Health Department, Food Safety Department and other related departments will together investigate the incident thoroughly. Action will be taken against all those who are negligent.
