Uttarakhand / Pithoragarh : Youth dies after falling into a ditch in Dharchula

One person died after falling into a gorge between Jumma-Sayankuri. Police has handed over the body to the relatives after post-mortem. Relatives say that due to incessant rains, their son fell into the ditch after being hit by stones that fell from the hill. Due to which he died.

According to the information received from the villagers, Rahul Singh son Bishan Singh Dhami, a resident of Sayankuri, was going from Jumma to his house last day. Meanwhile, suddenly boulders started falling from the hill. To avoid the stones, he fell into a ditch 100 meters deep. Block chief Dhan Singh Dhami informed the police about the incident. The police team under the leadership of Inspector-in-Charge Kunwar Singh Rawat reached the spot. During this they found Rahul dead. Police rescued the dead body from the ditch and sent it to the Community Health Center for post-mortem. The team consisted of constables Aan Singh Mehra, Mahendra Kumar, Akash Arya, Gaurav Rana etc.
