Rajasthan: Stampede in famous Khatushyamji fair, 3 women devotees killed, many injured

In the famous Khatu Shyam temple located in Sikar district of Rajasthan, a stampede broke out in the morning before the doors opened. In this stampede, 3 women devotees lost their lives, while many people were injured. The policemen present on the spot and the guards of the temple committee took care of the arrangements and referred all the injured to the hospital. At present, the Khatushyamji police station has started investigating the whole matter.

It is being told that as soon as the entrance of the temple was opened at 5 in the morning, due to the increasing pressure of the crowd, there was a stampede. During this, many female and male devotees fell down and did not get a chance to get up. The crowd was hurriedly controlled and the employees engaged in security arrangements, taking the front, referred the injured to the hospital, where three women died. At the same time, the treatment of other people injured in this incident is going on.

As soon as the information was received, the police-administration teams reached the spot and the hospital. Police officials said that a deceased woman among the dead has been identified. At present, further proceedings in the matter are going on.

It is worth mentioning that after Coronalal, there is also a number of pilgrims in millions of monthly fair in Khatushyam every month. But due to lack of minor area of the temple and there are non-visiting accidents occur on the day due to lack of facilities.

BJP MP from Rajasthan’s Kota and Lok Sabha Speaker Aam Birla has expressed deep sorrow over this incident. Birla wrote on Twitter, “The death of many devotees due to stampede at Khatushyam Ji temple in Rajasthan is heart-wrenching. May God rest the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this loss. My deepest sympathies to the families of the victims. Praying for speedy recovery of the injured.
