Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Tehri girl drowned due to slipping in Ganga
The girl of Tehri suddenly slipped on the Ganges Ghat near Yog Niketan in Munikireti. She drowned due to the strong current of the Ganges. On receiving the information, the SDRF team launched a search operation to find the girl, but she could not be traced.
According to SDRF, on Monday, four girls and a youth reached Ganga Ghat near Yog Niketan in Munikireti. During this, the leg of Ayushi (18) daughter Deepak Chamoli, a resident of village Pata, Tehri Garhwal, suddenly slipped. She started drowning due to the strong current of the Ganges. During this, the girls who came with him started screaming. On receiving the information, the SDRF team launched a search operation in search of Ayushi. But he was nowhere to be found. SDRF Inspector Kavinder Sajwan told that these people had come from Tehri to take the examination. The search operation for the girl will be conducted again on Tuesday.
