Uttarakhand / Haldwani : A few steps away from Kotwali, mobile theft of 1.5 crores from the showroom, suspected Bihari gang

Just in front of the District Magistrate’s Camp Office, a few steps away from the Kotwali, the thieves have carried out a major theft incident. Thieves broke the lock of a mobile showroom on Nainital Road and cleared their hands on more than 150 mobiles. When the shop workers reached the shop in the morning, they were stunned to see the lock of the shutter broken inside. The mobile showroom owner informed the police about the incident. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and is engaged in the investigation of the whole matter.
According to the mobile showroom owner, around 1.5 crore mobiles have been stolen. In this case, Nainital SSP Pankaj Bhatt told that the incident happened at around 4 in the morning. The entire incident of theft has been captured in the CCTV camera. It has been seen in CCTV that 7 thieves break the shutter. Two thieves entered the shop and carried out the theft, while five thieves kept guarding outside. Mobile theft worth more than 1.5 crores, SSP Nainital said that two teams of police have been constituted to search for the thieves and have been sent to catch . The SSP said that even 3 months ago, an attempt was made to steal this shop. The SSP said that prima facie the gang of thieves could be from Bihar. Because gangs of Bihar have carried out such incidents in the past as well.
60 mobiles and chargers recovered in Central Jail: During the excavation in the prison grounds, 60 mobiles, batteries and chargers have been recovered in surprise inspection at the Central Jail located in Sitarganj, Udham Singh Nagar. After which a case has been registered in Sitarganj police station on the complaint of the jail superintendent. After the incident, there has been a stir in the district administration including the jail administration.
Jail Superintendent Anurag Malik has filed a case against unknown prisoners in Sitarganj Kotwali. The police have started investigation by registering a case in the complaint of the jail superintendent.
