SC refuses to hear the case on Gyanvapi in Varanasi court, know what the court said

The Supreme Court has refused to hear the petition calling the hearing of the Gyanvapi case going on in the Varanasi court unfair. A lawyer had claimed that in the 90s, the Supreme Court had asked to maintain the status quo of the temple and the mosque. Therefore, the hearing being held now is against the order of the SC. On this, the Supreme Court said that if the petitioner wants, he can put his point in the High Court.
The petition was filed by the lawyer
Advocate MM Kashyap filed the petition saying that in 1993, 1995 and 1997, the Supreme Court had given 3 orders on Kashi and Mathura. In these orders, it was asked to maintain the status quo of the present temple and mosque at both the places. Taking this as the basis, the lawyer had demanded the cancellation of the hearing going on in the court of the District Judge of Varanasi.
Old case information
Aslam Bhure’s lawyer MM Kashyap used to file many cases related to the Ayodhya dispute in the Supreme Court. He claimed that in the 90s, the three orders on Kashi and Mathura also came on the petitions of Aslam Bhure. Bhure died in 2010. In such a situation, he himself has informed the court about the old order by filing a petition.
What did the Supreme Court say
A bench of Supreme Court Justices DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli said that the trial is going on in the lower court. All the petitions that have come to the Supreme Court regarding this, all have been asked to go to the lower court or the High Court. This matter will also not be heard directly in the Supreme Court. If the petitioner has an objection to the ongoing hearing in the lower court, then he can approach the Allahabad High Court against it. With this remark, the judges refused to hear the matter.
