PM Modi addressed the countrymen through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program; Emphasis on these issues including ‘Vocal for Local’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today. During this, while addressing the countrymen, PM Modi talked on many important issues. He talked about cheetahs brought from Namibia, yoga, surgical strikes, climate change and Navratri, the festival starting tomorrow. Along with this, PM Modi talked about changing the name of ‘Chandigarh Airport’ on the occasion of ‘Bhagat Singh”s birth anniversary on 28 September. During this, on Sunday, he also paid tribute to ‘Deendayal Upadhyay’. At the same time, he attracted the attention of the country on many important issues.

In the beginning of the address, PM Modi mentioned the cheetahs brought from Namibia. During this, he said that the names of cheetahs can be suggested on MyGov. PM Modi said, ‘A competition will be organized on the platform of MyGov, in which I urge people to share some things. What should be the name of the campaign that we are running about cheetahs? Can we even think of naming all these cheetahs as to what each of them should be called? By the way, if this naming is traditional then it will be very good because anything related to our society, culture, tradition and heritage attracts us easily.

Addressing the program, PM Modi further said

The world has now accepted that yoga is very effective for physical and mental wellness. Especially in problems related to diabetes and blood pressure, yoga helps a lot. Keeping in view such power of yoga, the United Nations has decided to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June.

PM Modi said about Navratri

‘At this time there is a festive spirit all around the country. Tomorrow is the first day of Navratri. In this we will worship Maa Shailiputri, the first form of the Goddess. From here there will be nine days of rule-abstinence and fasting, then the festival of Vijayadashami will also take place. That is, if we look in a way, we will find that along with faith and spirituality, a deep message is also hidden in our festivals.

On Sunday, PM Modi also appealed to keep the coasts clean under climate change. They said

India’s diverse communities and diverse culture can be seen flourishing here. Not only this, the food of these coastal areas attracts a lot of people. But along with these funny things there is also a sad side. These coastal areas of ours are facing many environmental challenges. Climate change continues to be a major threat to marine ecosystems, while on the other hand the filth on our beaches is disturbing. It becomes our responsibility to make serious and sustained efforts towards these challenges.

At the same time, PM Modi also emphasized on Vocal for Local. PM Modi urged to buy local goods during festivals. He said, the true joy of this festival is also when everyone becomes a part of it. So we have to support the local protection and that work as well. The Vocal for Local campaign is also special because during the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, we are also taking the goal of self-reliant India. He also talked about breaking all the records in buying local goods. Apart from this, PM Modi also talked on Sign Language.

PM Modi also told about the organization of National Games. He said that from September 29, ‘National Games’ is being organized in Gujarat. This is a very special occasion after many years after COVID. PM Modi also extended his best wishes to the players. The PM also told that he will also be present during the National Games to increase the enthusiasm of the players. PM Modi appealed to everyone to follow the National Games and encourage the players.

At the end of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, PM Modi asked to further encourage the countrymen

‘I will say only two words but I know, your enthusiasm will increase four times more. These two words are ‘surgical strike’. Let us celebrate the campaign of Amrit Mahotsav which is going on in our country wholeheartedly and share our happiness with everyone.
