Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached to buy vegetables from street vendors

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the vegetable market in Mylapore, Chennai on Saturday. During this, Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with local residents along with buying vegetables from vendors. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also shared a video of herself buying vegetables from a street vendor. During this he interacted with some vendors.

In the video, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is seen taking out some sweet potatoes. Apart from this, she has also shared pictures, in which she is seen buying bitter gourd. Earlier in the day, he inaugurated a center for children with special needs in the city.

Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said in the past that the central government is making every effort to keep inflation below 4 percent. He said that the central government is also taking such steps so that essential things can be made available to the people at reasonable prices and on time. Responding to the question related to rising prices, the Finance Minister said that as far as inflation is concerned, I have answered the questions related to it every time in Parliament. Steps are also being taken to bring the inflation rate to a certain level. For example, the duty on imported edible oils has been removed. He said that the issue of inflation should be seen from the global perspective.
