Uttar Pradesh : Mulayam Singh Yadav was lit by son Akhilesh, Saifai resonated with the slogan of ‘Netaji Amar Rahe’
Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was cremated with state honors in his native village Saifai. Son Akhilesh Yadav lit the fire to him. Many politicians including Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, BJP MPs Varun Gandhi and Rita Bahuguna Joshi, RLD MP Jayant Chaudhary and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu reached Saifai for the last glimpse of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Significantly, Mulayam Singh Yadav died on Monday at the age of 82 at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Saifai on Monday to pay tribute to the SP patron. Three days state mourning has been declared in Uttar Pradesh on the death of Mulayam Singh.
Mulayam Singh Yadav’s funeral will be held in Saifai shortly. SP workers are reaching Saifai with sandalwood sticks from Kannauj. It is being told that a large number of his supporters and SP workers may attend Netaji’s funeral. Keeping in mind the security arrangements, a large number of police forces are deployed in Saifai.
