Uttar Pradesh / Muzaffarnagar : Husband dies, wife seriously injured in a tragic accident on Delhi-Dehradun highway

A bike-riding couple died in a collision with an unidentified vehicle near Bhangela on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in Muzaffarnagar. The family did not take any action regarding the accident.

Daya Prakash (70) son Munshi, a resident of Samoli Salempur in Meerut, was going to Roorkee by bike along with his wife Kusumlata (65). On the Delhi-Dehradun highway, an unknown vehicle coming from behind at a high speed hit the bike near the Bhangela overbridge. Due to which the couple riding on the bike fell on the side of the road. Daya Prakash died on the spot, while his wife was injured.

On the information of passers-by, the police reached the spot and sent the couple to Khatauli Hospital. From where the doctors referred the woman to Meerut due to her critical condition. The police informed the relatives after being identified from the Aadhar card found from the deceased. Pradhan Jameel Ahmed and family reached Khatauli Hospital.

Pradhan told that the woman was admitted to Modipuram private hospital, where she also died during treatment. In the evening, both the bodies were cremated at the barrage Ganga Ghat. The Kotwali in-charge said that the relatives have not given any complaint about the accident nor have they taken any action at the moment.
