Is buying pizza the main issue, Subramanian Swamy baffled by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation’s reply on cancellation of license

After the cancellation of FCRA license by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, a round of allegations and counter allegations have started between the leaders of BJP and Congress. At the same time, BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has strongly objected to the Foundation’s reply. He said that buying pizza is the main issue.

Subramanian Swamy tweeted on Monday (October 24, 2022) that TDK says BJP government’s action against money laundering by RGF is to divert public attention from core issues. Swamy had complained to Home Minister Amit Shah in the year 2020
Even after the cancellation of the license, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had said on Sunday that the action to ban RGF was taken on his complaint. He told that he had complained about it in 2020 after Amit Shah became the Home Minister. Swamy said that I had sent him a big document, which was sent earlier also when Rajnath Singh was the Home Minister. I have mentioned five ways in which fraud has been committed.

Talking about the modus operandi of fraud, Swamy said that the first method was to build the office of the Congress party on government land. The second building was constructed with public money, but the ownership remained with the Gandhi family. Third, they have violated FCRA rules by taking money from embassies.

At the same time, after the action taken by the Central Government on Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) and Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust (RGCT), the reactions of Congress leaders also came to the fore on Sunday. On this issue, AICC general secretary in-charge communication Jairam Ramesh had said that they (central government) are recycling old allegations against RGF and RGCT. This is to divert attention from public issues.

The Congress leader had said that the country’s economy is in deep trouble due to rising unemployment, inflation and falling rupee against the dollar. During this, while referring to the India Jodo Yatra, he said that it is clear from the public support that India Jodo Yatra is getting fed up with the politics of hatred and division.
