Matron Shashikala Pandey of BD Pandey Hospital Nainital, Nainital district headquarters, has been awarded the National Florence Nightingale Award from the President for the efficient management of patients in adverse circumstances during the COVID period. President Draupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2021 to nursing professionals at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. In which Matron Shashikala Pandey, posted as a nurse in Nainital BD Pandey District Hospital, is also included.

Shashikala was given this honor for her dedication and selfless service towards her patients. Shashikala Pandey is serving in BD Pandey District Hospital for more than two decades. Visually impaired person had service for 26 days
