Minister Akhil Giri has been embroiled in controversy by making indecent remarks on President Draupadi Murmu. Addressing a gathering in Nandigram, he has made indecent remarks on President Draupadi Murmu. He said, we do not judge anyone by their appearance. We respect the presidential chair, but how does our president look?

BJP targeted
After the video went viral, the BJP has targeted Mamata Banerjee and her minister Akhil Giri. The BJP claimed that when Akhil Giri made this remark against the President, Shashi Panka, Minister of Women’s Welfare Department of the Mamata Banerjee government, was also present there. On the other hand, BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted and said, Akhil Giri, a minister in Mamta Banerjee’s cabinet, has insulted the President. Malviya further said- Mamta Banerjee has always been anti-tribal. Even in the elections, he did not support Murmu. This is an embarrassing level of expression.
Suvendu was taunting Adhikari
Akhil Giri’s controversial remarks have come to the fore when he was attacking BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. He said, “Suvendu Adhikari says to me that I am not beautiful. How beautiful is she? We don’t judge people by their looks.
