12 people sentenced to death in 10 days in Saudi Arabia, beheaded with sword

For a long time, Saudi Arabia has been famous for its strange and creepy punishments. In fact, within 10 days in Saudi Arabia, 12 people were beheaded while giving death sentence. Many of these people were such that their necks were cut with a sword. Most of the migrants sentenced

According to the English newspaper Telegraph, most of the 12 people who were beheaded in Saudi Arabia are expatriates. In which three are from Pakistan, four are from Syria and two are from Jordan. However, three Saudi citizens are also included in all these people. All were accused of violating the drug related law, due to which they were given death sentence.

81 people sentenced to death in March

In the month of March, 81 people were ordered to be sentenced to death by the Saudi Arabian government. Among these 81 people, there were also people associated with many extremist organizations. For the first time in the modern history of Saudi Arabia, such a number of people were sentenced to death. In the year 2018, the Saudi Arabian government had also decided to reduce such punishment. At that time there was a discussion that the Saudi government would give such strict punishment only to those people who would be accused of killing or killing someone. Mohammed bin Salman had said that the Saudi government is discussing how to give the death penalty to the least number of people. However, this did not happen for a long time and only after about two years, such dreadful punishments have started being given to people in Saudi Arabia. While Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been continuously talking about changes in Saudi Arabia’s judicial system.

Most people sentenced to death this year

According to the English website Mirror, in the year 2022, till the 22nd of November, 132 people were sentenced to death. The surprising thing is that this year’s figure is more than last year 2021 and 2020.

Questions have also been raised at the international level regarding such punishments by Saudi Arabia. For this reason, there is also talk of reducing the cases of death penalty in Saudi Arabia, but the government is not able to move forward completely in this matter.
