Uttarakhand : Second day of Vis session: Government will pass supplementary budget and women’s reservation bill, bills will be placed on the floor

Today is the second day of the winter session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. The proceedings of the House will start from 11 am. Today, during the proceedings on the second day, the government will get the supplementary budget passed in the House. On the first day of the session, the government presented a supplementary budget of ₹ 5440 crore. Along with this, the bill related to conversion and 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in government services will also be passed today itself. At the same time, other amendment bills placed on the table of the House will also be passed today itself.

Proceedings of the first day of the session

As soon as the proceedings of the winter session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly began, the Congress demanded a discussion on law and order under Rule 310. Some Congress MLAs got angry and even sat on a dharna outside the House. After lunch, Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented a supplementary budget of ₹ 5440.42 crore. Earlier, the Uttarakhand Public Service (Horizontal Reservation for Women) Bill 2022 was introduced in the House regarding 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in government jobs in the state.

Horizontal reservation bill for state agitators

First of all today, the Secretary Vidhansabha put the bill on the floor of the House to give the benefit of horizontal reservation to the state agitators. After which 6 Bill Acts were made in Uttarakhand. In which Uttarakhand Appropriation Bill 2022 became the fifth act. The Uttarakhand Fire and Emergency Services Fire Prevention and Fire Safety (Amendment) Bill 2022 was made the sixth Act. The Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Management Act, 1950) (Amendment) Bill 2022 was made the seventh act.

The Uttarakhand Enterprises Single Window Facilitation and Licensing (Amendment) Bill 2022 became the eighth Act in the House. The Industrial Disputes (Uttarakhand Amendment) Bill 2020 was made the ninth Act. The Uttarakhand Civil Law (Amendment) Bill 2021 became the tenth act.

9 Bills Reintroduced in the House

1. Bengal, Agra and Assam Civil Court (Uttarakhand Amendment and Supplementary Provisions) Bill 2022 was re-established.

2. The Uttarakhand Shops and Establishments (Employment Regulation and Service Conditions) Amendment Bill 2022 was re-established in the House.

3. The Petroleum University Amendment Bill was also reinstated in the House.

4. The Uttarakhand Religion Freedom (Amendment) Bill was also reintroduced in the House.

5. The Indian Stamp (Uttarakhand Amendment) Bill was also reintroduced in the House.

6. The Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill was also reintroduced in the House.

7. The Uttarakhand Garbage Throwing and Spitting Prohibition (Amendment) Bill 2022 was also reintroduced in the House.

8. The Uttarakhand District Planning Committee (Amendment) Bill 2022 was reinstated on the floor of the House.

9. The Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Bill 2022 was reinstated.
